Ann Marie Jenkins is an excellent esthetician, especially for women of color. I am African-American with a deep complexion, and Ann Marie has cared for my skin for over 15 years. I started going to Ann Marie in my 20s when I was experiencing what I thought to be an acne breakout, resulting in substantial hyperpigmentation. Ann Marie developed a course of action that included regular appointments and a comprehensive at-home regimen. The results were phenomenal. My skin looked and felt amazing. What I appreciate most about Ann Marie is her willingness to teach. She stays current and is willing to share her knowledge. She is genuinely a wonderful person. I was super bummed that the pandemic closed Chez Aesthete in California. I’d been going there since 2002! I recently had occasion to travel to Oregon and I was delighted that Ann Marie opened her clinic again! She’s only gotten better. Ann Marie is a consummate professional at her skin craft. She knows skin and has always advised me well, especially now that I have 60+ aging skin. She also was a tremendous help when my daughters were dealing with acne. Very effective treatments and products. She has decades of experience in the skin care industry and continues to research and study which are the best products and treatments for her clients. Ann Marie truly loves her trade and gives wonderful facial, neck and shoulder massages during the masking phase of her treatments. Ann Marie is fantastic! My skin changed drastically after turning 30. I spent years trying to figure out how to calm the irritation and control the acne and nothing was working. After seeing Ann Marie regularly for over a year now, my skin is glowing and I finally feel like myself again.

I highly recommend Ann Marie at Chez Aesthete! I have been seeing her for almost a year and my skin has improved so much! Ann Marie has a wealth of experience and knowledge. Ann Marie is the real deal.  When I moved to Portland from LA, I tried three estheticians and none of them were up to par.  In the six months I've been seeing Ann Marie, my skin has greatly improved in texture, hydration and reduced break outs.  She has started me on a regimen of European skin care products.  Ann Marie was able to do a milia extraction with no scarring!  I had that same procedure done at a dermatologist and it left a scar.   I can always tell a difference after her clinical peels.  I found Ann Marie on Yelp, so I am paying it forward to anyone who is obsessed with skincare like I am!  She's amazing and a true skincare expert

There's score of aestheticians in the east bay but I have continually been seeing Ann Marie because she KNOWS skin. She's so informed and stays current and becomes so intimate with your skin, she knows your facial patterns and anticipates what you'll need (i.e. "next visit, I think we should skip a facial and do a hydration mask instead) because of the condition she forecasts or the current climate and how it's affecting you. I started to develop these raised areas on my forehead. It was just oil trapped under my skin. They were making me crazy. Ann Marie recommended that I do a series of peels to have a chance at getting closer to the source. There were no guarantees and I knew that. It was just a hormonal change in my skin. I kept up the skin products and facials because sometimes, we'd get a sliver of success in reducing the bumps. I also made an appt with a dermatologist to see if there was anything more I could do. She told me "You risk scarring if we attack them surgically, your best bet is to follow your aesthetician's advice and stay with the peels." So I did. Unbelievably and with total surprise, I had a facial one time and one of the biggest glands just fell apart. I heard Ann Marie yelp. It had just gradually moved closer to the surface over time with all the peels and facials, that it dissipated. That biggest bump was now nice and smooth. I was ECSTATIC. Taking care of your skin and looking dewy, rejuvenated and youthful, is a privilege. For sure. And it costs something to stay that way. But if you value your appearance and just want to look your best, it's worth it. Ann Marie will get you there. She's direct, tells it like it is, and works your skin like it's her art canvas. We want to look astounding but SHE takes pride in making that happen. Visit her and get pampered and look glorious.

Ann Marie is simply the best! I’ve been going to her for over 5 years and my skin is amazing because of her. When I started going to her I had intermittent acne, black heads and didn’t know how to manage my oily skin well. She’s completely custom and consultative, fitting her services to your skin needs. She uses only the best products and works wonders. I can’t recommend her enough for facials and peels, and her waxing is great too. She’s helped me with anti-aging and I’ve never considered wearing any corrective makeup due to her skills. What an amazing sole proprietor gem; seriously go to this woman!

Anne Marie is a magician. After my wedding make up trial, I felt so insecure about my skin- the make up really accentuated the texture and dehydration and I knew I needed to take immediate action. I only had a month before the big day, and I wasn't really sure that I could do anything in time to make improvements. I booked an appointment with Anne Marie and was able to squeeze in a couple of appointments with her before the wedding- facials and a vitamin c peel. She also helped me with some new products that I religiously used in the weeks leading up to the big day. All I can say is...WOW. I honestly didn't expect to see noticeable results, but Anne Marie is a lifesaver. My mom and best friends kept asking what I had done to make my skin glow, and my make up artist was SHOCKED at the improvement since the trial. I had gone from major insecurity, to pure confidence. Not only did she do wonders with my skin, but Anne Marie is just all around great- she's fun to talk to, direct and honest about what my skin needed and what it didn't need, and really knowledgable about different skin types and product ingredients.
